When his work hours end, Mark is eager to come to Gabriel, his Labrador. As he unlocks his front door, he could already hear Gabriel barking that good-natured welcome-home-happy bark. Mark plays with his dog, even before he takes off his shoes.
It wasn’t always this good. “He’s barking again, and it’s scaring my cats,” one of Mark’s neighbours would complain over the phone.
There were even nights when Mark thought of giving up on his dog, having been awakened at midnight by his barking. He was to find out, after a brief online search, that a reliable anti bark dog collar could bring back some quiet in the house.
Toning down all that barking
Any responsible dog owner would want to curtail his dog’s annoying, loud barking.
No one wants to be forced to take some time off from work just to find out what’s making your dog bark loud enough to disturb neighbours.
It can get worse – you could be driving, with your dog in your car, when all that barking happens. The noise is one thing, the added behaviour of tearing up furniture is another.
Gabriel, Mark discovered, barked furiously when other dog’s neared the house – when they were walking early in the morning, and in the afternoon.
He decided Gabriel needed some re-conditioning.
The easiest to procure was an anti bark dog collar.
An easy item to shop for
All Mark had to do was decide on a collar that fit Gabriel’s size, and to choose the deterrent mechanism on the collar. A harmless electric shock – the static collar type.
Spray types released a chemical that annoyed the dog. A sound emitted that only the dog could hear – the ultrasonic type.
Mark went with the spray type.
He had learned through is online search that the spray was the probably the humane treatment.
Gabriel showed a remarkable improvement after a few days of wearing the anti bark dog collar.
