Pet Chiropractic Resolved Pekingese’s Muscle Spasm Problem

March 6th, 2010 · No Comments · Pets

Friday evening, my Pekingese, Clyde began limping late after the vet we had been seeing for several years closed for the weekend. It seemed to help, so tucked him in for the evening and with the intention of checking on Clyde’s condition the next morning before deciding whether to visit the emergency vet clinic. Compared to our regular vet, the rates were so out of sight so I tried to avoid the emergency clinic in town. Pet Chiropractic

Clyde got better but not 100% on Saturday morning. Until I could feel the muscles relax, I spent some time massaging him again, taking care to hold pressure on trigger points. I didn’t worry too much since Clyde seemed calm.

But early Monday morning, Clyde’s muscles tightened up again and then he threw up a thick white substance that truly alarmed me. I held his tiny body close while I typed some keyword phrases into a search engine, and started looking for clues about what might be wrong. The name “Dr. Ava Frick” and “Ava Frick, DVM” kept popping up in the search engine results, so I visited her web site and then made a call to her clinic.

I was really impressed when Dr. Frick was able to squeeze us into her schedule immediately. Her staff even showed that they cared about their patients, the same as Dr. Frick does. Dr. Frick conducted an examination to determine what might be wrong after taking Clyde’s complete medical history. She started canine chiropractic treatments immediately and then set up schedules for succeeding treatments.

Most importantly, Clyde’s treatment made him relaxed and comfortable. Although I had never heard of the concept of using chiropractic techniques on animals, I am so glad that I found someone who knew exactly how to solve Clyde’s pain.

I now recommend Animal Fitness Center and Dr. Frick’s staff to my fellow pet owners at every chance I get. Pet Arthritis
