Once your dog gets the idea that it is not allowed to go certain places in the house, you can remove the shock collar from your dog’s neck.

The bark collar is used by many dog owners who live near other people. This type of collar has a sensor that detects the movement of your dog’s throat when it barks. Whenever your dog barks, the collar will detect it and correct the dog with a small charge or static electricity. The level of the shock might differ from one shock collar to another, and the strongest ones might make your dog yelp when it feels the shock. Don’t be alarmed if you hear that your dog yelps. Your dog is not in any danger of being electrocuted or forever traumatized with the jolt it gets from the collar. Besides, once your dog stops barking, the collar will also stop jolting your dog.
The Training Collar
The dog training collar is another type of shock collar that you can use via a remote control. If your dog misbehaves, you simply press the button on the remote control to send a message to your dog that it is not behaving well.
